Gardening, feeding the birds & flowers (orchids, petunias, rhododendrons, fushias, magnolias, hydrangeas... to name a few). She couldn't swim, but walked (very fast!) & learnt to drive in her 60s. Nice shoes & handbag, hair always neat, colourful beads - lots of pinks & purples- & painted nails. Washing, ironing, hoovering... she loved being busy! Family photos all around her room. An excellent cook - yorkshire puds & gravy, mince pies & pizzas with a scone base :) Her secret to a long life - a tot of whiskey & lots of fruit! Christmas hampers full of her favourites: marmalade, dates, fruit jellies, liquor chocolates, toffees, shortbread, fruit cake & Christmas pud. So so generous, but always knew her bank balance to the penny. Bridge with friends & whist & rummy with us - she loved her cards.
